Juan David Cordona has been renovating, and innovating his family farm, La Conchita for 5 years. He’s a relatively young coffee farmer who’s only focus is specialty coffee. Juan believes that specialty coffee offers a brighter future for his family than traditional farming.

The story – the farm
Juan’s father believed that he was throwing money away by investing in specialty coffee, but Juan has proved his father wrong.

Antioquia is typically known for large coffee estates serving commercial grade markets. But, things are changing as a younger generation takes over production. Juan David Cardona is a part of this revolution. Taking a Nordic approach to production, he’s formed a group with other young producers rethinking coffee production in the region.
